A hair dryer set to the hottest setting can also be used to remove wax from carpet. Turn the iron onto a warm not hot setting with the steam turned off. Place a clean paper bag with no printing or a paper towel over the wax. Using a warm iron slowly press the iron on top of the paper bag or cloth.

Lowest heat turn the iron onto the lowest setting and begin to iron the bag. Repeat until the wax is gone you may have to hold the iron in place for up to 30 seconds.

Laundry detergent may be useful in removing wax from carpet. Turn your iron onto low heat. Heat an iron to a medium setting with no steam and press the iron to the paper bag directly over the wax.
